Welcome to Dore & Totley Golf Club

Tony Hales - President

It is an honour to be elected President of Dore and Totley Golf Club 2024.

I have served on the board for 11 years and was Company Chairman for 2020 - 2022. I am proud of the progress we have made in establishing this club as one of the best in the area.

The club has a lot of very dedicated members, and that shines through with the support that is given on the golf course and around the clubhouse.

The board members are dedicated to the running of the club along with the sub-committees driving their section, all to make the club a pleasant place to be part of.

I look forward to the year ahead supporting this club and its members.

May I wish you all a happy and successful golfing year.

Gary Stoddart - Captain

I am honoured to be Dore & Totley Club Captain for 2024.

The Board, Staff and Members at Dore and Totley ensure that our club is a welcoming and open golf club where visitors, societies and individuals are always welcome. We have many club fiddles spread across the week where members can join in without the need to book a tee time. I intend to fully support our Lady Captain, Julie Cullen, throughout her term and I wish her and the ladies section a great golfing year. Our Seniors Section goes from strength to strength under the guidance of our Seniors Captain, Mr Graham Hill, with over 30 fixtures planned for 2024.

My charity this year is the Meningitis UK Trust. A very worthy charity combating a dreadful illness that targets young children and particularly babies. I will be doing all I can to promote the charity and raise as many funds as possible.

Finally may I wish you all a very happy and enjoyable 2024.

Julie Cullen - Ladies’ Captain

I am honoured and proud to be Lady Captain of Dore and Totley golf club and I am looking forward to working alongside our club Captain Gary Stoddart and my Vice-Captain Hilary King.

We have a great lady’s section that is friendly and welcoming from beginners to experienced golfers of all ages, and if anyone needs any help with their game Steve Roberts our professional is always on hand to help.

I have been on several committees.  Ladies committee, social committee as well as bar and catering committee and now house committee, and for several years organised our Ladies Am-Am’s.

I also work with our nature and gardening groups and recently we have put a lot of effort encouraging wildlife to our course, from putting up bird/owl and bat boxes to building a wildlife pond.

You will find as a member you can be as involved as you like or just come and play golf, it’s up to you.

I know, we as members hope to make a difference as we are all passionate about our club because we feel, our club and course is the best around.

My charity is St Lukes Hospice, it is very close to my heart. I worked there for 14 years and have had the privilege of working with patients and their families. St Lukes looks after patients with life limiting illnesses in the Hospice and in the community.

As I’ve said before we are a friendly and inviting club, come along and see for yourselves you will always get a warm welcome.

Happy golfing everyone

Julie Cullen
